Private Pesticide Applicator training will allow those individuals who need to "use" restricted use pesticides to receive a license from the Missouri Department of Agriculture. There are significant changes to the Missouri Pesticide Use Act effective January 01, 2025. The term "use" is defined as mixing, loading, or applying any pesticide; cleaning pesticide equipment; or storing or disposing of pesticide containers, pesticides, spray mix, equipment wash waters, and/or other pesticide containing materials. For more information on the changes, visit: https://agriculture.mo.gov/plants/pesticides/rule-changes.php.
This training is for individuals who need a license and for those who need to be recertified. The Ag Update portion of the meeting may provide 15-minute hot topics in the fields of agronomy, livestock, ag business, ag engineering, and horticulture. However, the availability of speakers may impact the topics presented so the agenda may be modified.
You may register online or at the Worth County Extension Office.
Cost: $75
