Urban West nutrition and health programs

Helping older adults improve strength, balance, and flexibility through safe, gradual exercises. It offers both in-person and virtual options to stay active.

Eat Smart in Parks (ESIP) is a statewide effort aimed at promoting healthier eating options in Missouri’s state and local parks.

The Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention program is designed to improve multiple aspects of health through slow, gentle movements that can be practiced almost anywhere.

In four weekly hands-on sessions in our Freeze It! program, you’ll learn safe, research-based techniques for freezing foods, which will help you cut down on food waste, stretch your grocery dollars and enjoy your meals safely.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to break the bank. Our Cooking Matters programs teach smart shopping strategies and healthy cooking skills that can help you prepare nutritious, low-cost meals and snacks at home.

Performance Nutrition: The Competitive Edge is a six-module program that shows athletes, parents and coaches how to use proper nutrition before, during and after competition to help athletes perform their best and avoid injury.
