Urban West Region 4-H Camps

As America's largest youth development organization, 4-H offers youth, families and adult volunteers of all ages many ways to engage, grow and serve through clubs, camps, contests, conferences, special interest groups, in-school and after school programs, and more! It is about young people making new friends and memories while preparing to be future leaders. Urban West region consists of Clay, Jackson and Platte counties. The region has a diverse community of youth building life skills, contributing to their community and becoming college and career ready.

Our team of 4-H youth leaders, volunteers and staff are eager to provide a fun, rewarding experience for the youth in our region.

4-H Summer Day Camp

Platte Ridge Park, Platte County
Explore 4-H projects through hands-on learning. Crafts, fishing and canoeing are always a highlight. Each session will be the same activities, but campers may choose a different project track. This camp will be hosted at Platte County Fairgrounds Tuesday-Thursday and Platte Ridge Park on Friday.

Ages: 8-12
Tentative dates: June 20-23, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cost: $50

Platte County Youth Explorer Series

A variety of locations across Platte County
No topics are left behind. Campers will explore STEAM, arts and communication, animals, gardening and outdoor adventure and much more!
Partnership with Platte County Parks and Rec and MU Extension Platte County

Ages: 8-12
Tentative dates: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day

Cost: Free
