Batula Hussein is a 2019 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a bachelor's degree in English. She grew up in the Northeast area of Kansas City and graduated from East High School. She is a first-generation college student who has a passion for reading literacy. Throughout her high school and college career, Batula has volunteered and worked for a diverse group of non-profit organizations ranging from reading literacy, environmental education, and college preparation. During her time with LNESC, she helped students prepare for the ACT, apply for FASFA, and navigate the college application process. She is excited about the opportunity to continue helping students with MCAC.
