Who we are

Who we are

The Missouri 4-H Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We are the private resource partner of the University of Missouri Extension 4-H Center for Youth Development. For over 70 years, the foundation has secured and managed funds to support the Missouri 4-H mission to engage youth as valued contributing members of their communities.

Our mission

The Missouri 4-H Foundation maximizes 4-H youth development through resource acquisition and management.

What we do

4-H is America's largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime. Across the state of Missouri, 4-H impacts the lives of thousands of youth and volunteers every year. Through their 4-H experiences, kids develop important life skills through hands-on projects under the guidance of adult mentors.

We rely on our partnerships with individuals, businesses and organizations to support the work of 4-H and maximize youth development opportunities for young people in Missouri. Through their generous support we offer college scholarships, funding for county 4-H programs and statewide 4-H activities, leadership training for 4-H volunteers, and seed money for new and expanded programs.
