Focus on Kids

Focus on Kids is a research-based educational program for divorcing and separating parents and parents dealing with custody issues. It is based on the latest evidence about successful co-parenting and helping children adjust to separation and divorce. Franklin County MU Extension is contracted by the 20th Judicial Circuit court to provide the program to meet Missouri's parent education requirement for parents in cases involving separation or divorce.

Developed by an interdisciplinary MU Extension team, this research-based program focuses on positive psychology and mindfulness to provide practical strategies for dealing with life’s challenges that you can incorporate into your everyday life. Boost Your Brain and Memory

boost your brain graphicBoost Your Brain & Memory, a multi-session brain health class, is offered in Camden County. Just as you can control and improve your general physical health with good habits, so too can you improve the health of your brain—boosting your memory and mental agility, as well as reducing your risk of developing Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias. The class uses a whole-person approach that helps you form new habits to live a healthier lifestyle, remember things better, be more organized, pay closer attention and regulate your emotions. Each participant will receive a workbook including memory exercises, tips on nutrition and exercise, and summaries of evidence-based research on brain health.
