AVA, Mo. – Are you interested in learning more about showing livestock? University of Missouri Extension is hosting a Livestock Showmanship Clinic at the Douglas County Fairgrounds 1-5 p.m. Saturday, March 22.
“The Douglas County Livestock Showmanship Clinic is the perfect opportunity to learn more about how to be the best in the showmanship ring,” said MU Extension dairy field specialist Chloe Collins. “Youth will also learn more about what it takes to succeed outside the ring with educational sessions on barn etiquette, nutrition and more.”
Youths are not required to bring animals to the clinic. Local experts, showmen and livestock will be present to provide demonstrations and educational seminars.
All youths are welcome. They do not have to be a member of 4-H to attend. To join 4-H in Douglas County, contact Katy Taylor at 417-683-4409.
