An educational event that focuses on sustainable forest farming techniques while providing resources useful to the landowner to be able to increase income on small acreage. The workshop will cover topics such forest management practices, forest farming overview, hands-on inoculating mushroom logs, chainsaw safety, prescribed burn planning and small acreage enterprise budgets.
Included:
- Forest Product Sampling: Enjoy ginseng tea, view a wreath display, taste maple syrup, and savor cooked shiitakes.
- Take-Home Mushroom Log: Inoculate your own mushroom log to take home.
