This newsletter corresponds with Lesson 2 of the Show Me Nutrition Third Grade curriculum. Children are encouraged to try new whole-grain foods, vegetables and fruits in this newsletter. These types of foods provide many nutrients, including carbohydrates, which provide energy, fiber, vitamins and minerals. A list of familiar and unfamiliar foods is included to provide families with fresh ideas for getting nutrients in a new way.
