This newsletter corresponds with Lesson 1 of the Show Me Nutrition Third Grade curriculum. It highlights essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, minerals and water, and how USDA’s MyPlate can help families choose what to eat to get all the nutrients they need. Also included are tips on incorporating a variety of food group foods into the diet as well as a family-friendly recipe.
