Join us for an informative and engaging event designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of produce safety, with a particular focus on compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). This event will combine traditional lecture-style learning with an interactive tour through the CCUA farm, providing a comprehensive understanding of produce safety practices and their real-world applications.

Speakers from MU Extension will talk about the principles of FSMA including how to identify and assess contamination risks and best practices to minimize those risks. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the farm and engage in conversations with MU Extension specialists to learn more about how to implement produce safety practices in their farms.

This event is ideal for established and beginning farmers as well as individuals that are thinking farming as a new career path.
