Abstract

Missouri’s birds play important roles in ecological communities, the economy, human health and enjoyment. Despite their importance, birds in Missouri and across the United States are in peril. This guide describes bird species of conservation concern that rely on forest and woodland habitats in Missouri and presents practices that support both bird conservation and the long-term sustainability and productivity of forest resources.
