Follow these steps to pay online and submit soil samples to the MU Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory.
New instructions added below to purchase a low-cost UPS shipping label for mailing in your samples.
Note: This service is NOT intended for county offices or firms that have accounts with the lab.
Note: This service is TAX FREE for all customers.
To pay online:
- Select "Customize order" button.
- Enter the quantity (the number of samples you will be submitting) and select "Add to cart." This selects the Regular fertility test which includes pHs, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Zn, Mn, Fe, Cu, Na, B, OM%, N.A., CEC + fertilizer lime recommendation at $15.00 per sample. Additional tests can be selected when you proceed through the order.
- Enter your contact information and then select additional tests, if needed.
- Select UPS shipping label for $10.00 (select only once unless you need more than 1 shipping label).
- Complete the purchase.
To submit your samples:
- Complete the appropriate sample submission form:
- Send or bring samples along with the completed form and a copy of your online receipt to:

(Location page with map) - For the low-cost UPS shipping label ($10), select 1 UPS shipping label (after Additional tests selections) to purchase one label with your order, COMPLETE THIS SHIPPING LABEL FORM and click "Generate label" to submit form and create the label.
