Multiple casualty incidents tax most departments equipment and personnel resources. Is your agency prepared? This course is designed to introduce participants to the difficult problem of handling an incident with multiple patients. The most frequent of these are school bus accidents. Instructors will demonstrate techniques of extrication, patient handling and coordinating multiple agencies. Participants will have the opportunity to apply these skills and concepts in practical applications involving a school bus.

Prerequisites

Special requirements

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE): The following gear is required to participate: helmet, bunker coat, bunker pants with boots, and gloves that met the NFPA standard 1971 at the time of purchase.
