Large Area Search Team Training (L.A.S.T.) covers searching large areas quickly and utilizing all of the latest technologies available. Lessons include putting a face piece on a downed firefighter, transfill air to a downed firefighter, use of thermal imaging camera for quick searches of downed and lost firefighters, air conservation drills, and considerations for successful deployment of L.A.S.T. Participants will work as four person RIT teams using L.A.S.T. to search a large area for downed firefighters and remove them from the building. This course meets parts of NFPA 1407, Standard for Training Fire Service Rapid Intervention Crews, 2010 Edition.
Host requirements
