This course is designed to teach knowledge and skill components of fire control with emphasis on natural cover fires and possibly related structure fires. Students will learn and demonstrate methods to attack and suppress natural cover fires. Students will also discuss tactics to suppress structure and other exposure fires that may result from uncontrolled natural cover fires. This can be used to provide refresher training, address specific needs, or combined with other modules and courses over time to deliver a comprehensive overall Firefighter I and II training program.

Special requirements

  • NFPA 1977 compliant wildland firefighting protective clothing required.
