• Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Techniques for Emergency Responders

Note: This training does not involve live fire.

This classroom-only course will give emergency responders basic knowledge of aircraft incident/accident procedures. Anyone who may respond to an aircraft incident (on or off an airport site) will benefit from this course. Some of the agencies who will benefit from this course include police, Highway Patrol, Sheriff, fire fighters, EMT, Red Cross and city managers. The course will focus on the initial response to general, commercial, and military aircraft incidents/accidents. Some topics covered will include aircraft/airport familiarization, firefighting and rescue tactics, hazardous materials, preserving evidence and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) guidelines.
