Professional background
TaylorAnn Washburn’s work focuses on helping agribusinesses and value-added agriculture producers develop marketing plans for long-term success. Washburn develops educational curriculum and resources that support value-added product marketing, and consults directly with operators as they seek to enter new markets, bring new products to market, and increase sales. She also spearheads marketing efforts for the Agricultural Business and Policy group’s executive education programming and data collection efforts, and seeks to share impact and relevance in avenues that are salient to target audiences. Washburn holds a B.S. in Science and Agricultural Journalism from the University of Missouri and a M.S. in Agricultural Communications from Texas Tech University, where her research focused on science communication and preparing practitioners to engage effectively with non-expert audiences
