Professional background
Luke’s research focuses on regional community and economic development, food systems, and applied industry studies. Prior to Extension, he worked in state and regional government for five years — doing legislative and budgetary analysis, advancing infrastructure and community development projects, and managing a revolving loan fund for small businesses. He holds degrees in public policy and English, and a certification in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. He is also a certified Strategic Doing™ practitioner and host of the Show-Me MO Success Podcast.
