Join the Missouri Chapter of Women Owning Woodlands on a springtime tree identification hike! We discuss the importance of our native tree species and how we can use clues like bark, flowers, twigs, and leaves to identify them.
We will be hiking the Lakeview Trail at St. Joe State Park in Park Hills, MO. This loop trail is 1.3 miles long. We will make frequent stops along the way to learn how to identify common tree species in Missouri. The hike will happen rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather! We will postpone the hike in the event of severe weather.
This event is free and open to the public. For questions or accommodations, contact Sarah Higgins at sarah.higgins@missouri.edu or 636-797-5391.
