Join the Missouri Chapter of Women Owning Woodlands for a fun, educational weekend in the Ozarks!
We start the weekend on Friday with a tour of the L-A-D Foundation's Pioneer Forest, the largest privately owned and managed forest in Missouri.
We will be guided by Pioneer Forest ecologists and foresters as we visit an active timber sale, a timber stand improvement site, and a virgin pine forest.
Friday evening we will have a cook-out style dinner (and s'mores!) at Round Spring Campground.
Saturday morning we will hike the Cave Spring Loop trail at Devil's Well on the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, where we will practice tree identification and discuss land management along the way.
