Supervisory Certificate Series

Essential skills for supervisors at every level — in the office, in the field, on-site, or across hybrid and remote teams.

Today’s supervisors lead teams that are more distributed, multifaceted, and fast-moving than ever. Whether your employees work in an office, on the shop floor, in the field, or across different locations, effective supervision requires strong self-awareness, trust-building, communication, and coaching skills.

This two-day, high-impact program equips supervisors with practical tools they can use immediately to lead confidently, strengthen relationships, and support consistent performance, regardless of where or how their teams work.

Cost: $1,480

DAY 1 — Tuesday, July 21, 2026 • 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. C.D.T.

Morning Session: Lead With Self-Awareness (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

Effective supervision begins with understanding yourself — how you approach work, handle pressure, make decisions, and define success. In this session, participants use the True Colors framework to explore their personal styles and how those tendencies influence their effectiveness as a supervisor.

You’ll learn to:

  • Identify your dominant preferences and describe how those preferences shape your responses to stress
  • Explain how personal tendencies influence decision-making and prioritization
  • Apply self-awareness to make intentional leadership choices aligned with your role and responsibilities

Pre-work: Complete the True Colors assessment prior to the session.

Afternoon Session: Build Trusting, Productive Relationships (1:30–4:30 p.m.)

Strong relationships are the foundation of effective supervision, whether you work side-by-side with employees or coordinate across locations or shifts. This session focuses on building trust, credibility, and meaningful connections with the people you lead.

You’ll learn to:

  • Strengthen trust through consistency and clear follow-through
  • Support psychological safety and a culture where people speak up
  • Navigate different personalities and work styles
  • Build cohesion across on-site, hybrid, or remote team members

DAY 2 — Wednesday, July 22, 2026 • 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. C.D.T.

Morning Session: Communicate Effectively & Navigate Conflict (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

Supervisors communicate up, down, and across every day, often in fast-paced environments where clear direction matters. This session builds practical communication skills for giving instructions, addressing issues early, and resolving conflict constructively.

You’ll learn to:

  • Communicate across different personality and work styles using the True Colors model
  • Recognize early signs of tension and know when to step in, when to coach, and when to let employees resolve issues themselves
  • Have difficult conversations with confidence

Afternoon Session: Set Expectations & Coach Your Team to Success (1:30–4:30 p.m.)

Clear expectations and consistent coaching are essential to helping employees succeed, no matter where they work or what kind of work they do. This capstone session brings together all the skills learned across the program.

You’ll learn to:

  • Set clear, actionable expectations people can follow
  • Reinforce performance standards and accountability
  • Diagnose performance gaps accurately (skill, clarity, or motivation)
  • Coach employees using simple, practical frameworks
