Professional background
Bryana Larimer is a Business Trainer and Consultant with nearly a decade of experience designing and delivering customized learning experiences for public, private, and nonprofit organizations. Through her work with the Missouri Training Institute (MTI) and partnership with the University of Missouri Office of Extension and Engagement, she has supported hundreds of teams across Missouri and in Arizona, California, and Washington, D.C., addressing frontline, supervisory, and leadership needs. Her work is grounded in practical application and informed by certifications in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i 2.0), True Colors, the Six Types of Working Genius, and the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI).
Bryana is also an AI Teaching Fellow for Extension, where she helps professionals explore how artificial intelligence can be used thoughtfully, ethically, and in service of people. She serves on the Provost’s Faculty AI Standing Committee and the National Digital Education Extension Team’s AI and Emerging Technologies subcommittee, contributing to national conversations shaping the future of learning and work.
With a background in communication and public relations, Bryana brings a creative lens to her work at MTI. She produces The Weekly Workplace podcast, leads live learning events, and develops on-demand microlearning experiences - using storytelling to make complex ideas clear and actionable.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communication from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and is pursuing a Master of Science in Learning Technologies and Design at the University of Missouri.
At the end of the day, Bryana cares most about people. She believes one of the greatest gifts we’re given is the chance to pour into the lives of others, and that real learning happens when people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
