Learn about the common invasive plants in Missouri and what can be done to manage them. Removing invasive plants is key for stewarding land to support native plants, habitat, and wildlife. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of invasive plant management- what they are, how they impact the ecosystem, how to identify them, and methods to control them.
This workshop is from 10 am - 2 pm. We will have a presentation inside in the morning followed by a short break for lunch and then a trip to a nearby field location to practice identifying plants. In the event of rain, we will have invasive plant clippings that we can observe inside.
Participants are asked to bring their own lunch and dress accordingly for the weather conditions for the field portion.
