Join MU Extension for an interactive and informative online series designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and tools for effective hay management.  

Farm Management - On My Own: What the Hay? offers expert insight into forage selection and quality, fertilizer application strategies, weed control, and evaluating the real cost of hay production. 

Participants will gain a better understanding of: 

  • Selecting appropriate forage species for hay systems 
  • Fertilizer strategies to optimize productivity 
  • Effective weed control methods in hay fields 
  • Calculating and comparing hay production costs to make cost-effective feeding decisions for livestock  

While this program is especially designed for female landowners and farm operators, all are welcome to attend this informal, participant-driven, and learner-focused event.  

Registration: $30 covers all four sessions.
