Join us in urban farm walkabouts and online classes on 5 areas of risk management (human, legal, production, marketing, and financial) in urban agriculture for new and beginning female producers. This event is focused on empowering women in agriculture in various aspects of the production and marketing of locally grown products. 

Topics include:

  • Growing greens in Hydroponics
  • Urban Farm Investment Tax Credit Program
  • FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) and GAPS (Good Agricultural Practices)
  • Vermicomposting
  • Understanding cost of production and pricing your product
  • Intel for Ag: Tool for sustainable enterprise
  • Microgreen Production and Marketing Strategies

For the online classes, a Zoom link will be sent to all the registrants one day before the class.
