Join us at Heritage Farm for a hands-on 365-Day Grazing Demonstration Field Day, where participants will learn practical strategies to improve pasture productivity and extend the grazing season year-round. This event highlights how producer Jim McDonald successfully manages a full 365-day grazing system without feeding hay and applying fertilizer on his pasture.
The program will cover key topics including pasture fertility management, grazing management basics, extending the grazing season, and a live demonstration of a year-round grazing system. Attendees will gain real-world insights from experienced specialists and see proven practices in action.
This field day will feature presentations and discussion with Jim McDonald (Cattle Producer) along with University of Missouri Extension specialists Rudra Baral (Agronomy), Chrisee Brandl (Livestock), and Gene Schmitz (Livestock).
Date & Time: Saturday, August 1, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
