POSITION OPENING

Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Location: Monroe County Extension, Paris, Missouri
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Pay: $15 per hour, three days per week

About the Position

Monroe County Extension is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Part-Time Administrative Assistant to provide general office support and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates well, manages multiple tasks effectively, and maintains a positive, professional attitude.

A background check is required for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain documents, records, and files.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate information in office systems.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Manage calendars and provide administrative support to staff and management.
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and QuickBooks.
  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Accurate typing and data-entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, dependable, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
