Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, 5th Edition provides basic information needed by firefighters to effectively perform the various tasks involved in aircraft rescue and fire fighting. Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting addresses the requirements of NFPA 1003, Standard for Airport Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications (2005 edition). Additional material addresses the airport fire fighting apparatus covered in Chapter 9 of the 2008 edition of NFPA 1002, Standard on Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications. Key parts of NFPA 402, Guide for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting Operations (2008 edition), and NFPA 403, Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting Services at Airports (2008 edition), are also covered in this manual.
