The Missouri Department of Mental Health is a state agency dedicated to (1) the prevention of mental disorders, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, and compulsive gambling; (2) the treatment, habilitation, and rehabilitation of Missourians who have those conditions; and (3) the improvement of public understanding and attitudes about mental disorders, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, and compulsive gambling.
The Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers (MCRSP) represents peer, community and faith-based addiction recovery organizations across the State of Missouri. MCRSP also sets standards and accredits all of the addiction recovery homes in the state.

The Missouri Council for Activity and Nutrition (MOCAN) is a collaborative council affiliated with MU Extension. It is comprised of experts from various fields across Missouri, such as educators, government officials, healthcare providers, and nonprofit representatives. By fostering statewide connections, MOCAN implements and advocates for policy changes aimed at improving the health of the people of Missouri.
