Cooking Matters: Nutrition Education Project
The Nutrition Education Project is a FREE Cooking Matters class taught by MU Extension, funded by Missouri Medicaid Managed Care Organizations. It's a series of 6 classes (one class/week) that allow you to cook alongside instructors from your own home. The virtual instruction is provided live to a small group with the opportunity to interact with the instructor and other participants.
The class provides:
- Virtual cooking instruction, offered late afternoon/evening
- Free groceries to prepare each recipe that are delivered to your home
The benefits of participating include:
- Free groceries to prepare each recipe
- Learn new recipes and strategies to cook for picky eaters
- End each class with a prepared dish for your family’s meal
- Learn tips for stretching your food dollar

Register for the following classes:
On Mondays, March 16th – April 20th
4:00–5:00 p.m.
Register for the Mon 3/16–4/20 series
On Thursdays, April 9th – May 14th
5:30–6:30 p.m.
Register for the Thurs 4/9–5/14 series
On Mondays, April 27th – June 8th
5:30–6:30 p.m.
