April Sevy is a Business Trainer and Consultant at the Missouri Training Institute (MTI), bringing over a decade of experience in training, education, and leadership across both government and volunteer sectors. With a strong foundation in environmental science (B.S.) and adult education and training (M.Ed.), she combines subject-matter expertise with a deep understanding of how people learn and grow. Prior to joining MTI, she led statewide programs in volunteer education and citizen science. In these roles, she empowered communities to contribute meaningfully to environmental efforts and became a recognized leader in volunteer engagement and program development. With more than 20 years of customer service experience, and a diverse background spanning natural resources, healthcare, telecommunications, web development, and sales, April brings a unique perspective to her work. She thrives on helping individuals and teams become more effective, blending creativity with practical problem-solving and a love of technology. She is certified in emotional intelligence EQ-i 2.0, EQ 360, and Gallup CliftonStrengths coaching.
