REPUBLIC, Mo. – Come together to chart the path for 2026’s Women in Dairy programming to ensure topics relevant to your operation are scheduled, said Reagan Bluel, Women in Dairy program leader and field specialist in dairy for University of Missouri Extension.
On Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., dairy producers and industry supporters will celebrate the end of 2025 and plan for a successful 2026 programming season, Bluel said. Ladies will create a holiday wreath and enjoy potluck lunch at the Local Republic Market, 224 N. Main, Republic, while brainstorming monthly programming ideas.
This meeting is a gathering to refill those who generously keep the farm, and community running, she said. “Take a moment to let your creative side shine. At the end of the afternoon you’ll walk away with a full stomach, heart and a great wreath.”
Bluel extends thanks to Local Republic Market for hosting the annual event and to the generous sponsors, Missouri Dairy and DFA, making this event free of charge for those who are currently active dairy farmers. All supplies are provided for those who RSVP. For those who currently do not milk, $15 per participant is requested.
MU Extension’s Women in Dairy group began in 2016 and typically meets on the second Wednesday of the month. To stay abreast on upcoming meetings, follow Women in Dairy on Facebook.
