SIKESTON, Mo. – Representatives from the Missouri Corn Growers, Missouri Soybean and University Missouri Extension will give updates at the 2026 MU Crop Conference 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3.
MU Extension is host for the annual event at the Miner Convention Center in the Sikeston-Miner area next to the Drury Inn on East Malone Street.
Anthony Ohmes, MU Extension field specialist in agronomy, said state specialists Alex Mangialardi, Ivair Valmorbida and Mandy Bish will discuss research in weed, insect and disease management. MU Extension state soybean specialist Andre Reis will give findings from recent soybean research. MU Extension field specialist Randy Stephen will give an outlook on 2026 markets.
There is no cost to attend the event.
Continuing education units (CEU) will be offered. Sponsors will be on site to visit with during breaks. Details and registration.
Other area conferences include the Cotton Conference, Feb. 12 at the MU Fisher Delta Center in Portageville, and the Rice Conference on Feb. 24 at the Bootheel Regional Planning Commission building in Dexter.
