Wanting to get a jump start on gardening, even during these cooler months before spring? Want a fresh supply of homegrown produce? Or maybe you’re itching to try something new and build a useful skill? A simple DIY hydroponic system might be just the thing. Imagine harvesting crisp lettuce, juicy cherry tomatoes, sweet snacking peppers, fragrant herbs, and crunchy cucumbers—even in the depths of winter. It’s a mood booster and a great way to stay connected to your garden year-round. So, what do you need, and how do you get started? In this course participants will set up a basic Deep-Water Hydroponic Unit, start select vegetable seeds, and learn how to maintain a hydroponic system. This course will count as advance training for Extension Master Gardeners.
