Join us for a hands-on learning experience where youth will discover what lies beneath the hide using livestock ultrasound technology. Participants will learn how ultrasound is used to evaluate carcass traits such as muscle, fat, and marbling while the animal is still alive. This clinic will help youth understand how carcass data relates to meat quality, livestock evaluation, and production decisions across multiple livestock species. This program is offered for youth ages 8 and up. For more information contact Chrisee Brandl (MU livestock Specialist) at chriseebrandl@missouri.edu or 573-642-0755.
