Join MU Extension and Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture for a twilight farm tour and workshop, to learn all about effective integrated pest management (IPM) techniques for vegetable crops. Integrated pest management is a strategy that allows you to build strong preventative control practices that can reduce the need for pesticide sprays, and protect the environment. The event will begin with a brief classroom discussion on IPM principles and then we will head to the field for some hands-on pest scouting and identification activities, as well as discussion of management strategies. This workshop is designed for small farmers, non-profit staff, garden educators, and community garden leaders.
