Join us at the next Osage Trails Master Naturalists chapter meeting for a special orientation to our fall field trip—set for Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28 at Arrow Rock and Van Meter State Park.
We’ll preview an inspiring weekend of ecological learning and service. On Saturday, we’ll tour the Missouri River Bird Observatory (MRBO) headquarters to learn about their vital conservation work, followed by a hands-on volunteer project supporting this valued MMN partner.
Sunday’s journey takes us to Van Meter State Park, where we’ll explore the Missouri’s American Indian Cultural Center. A guided tour will deepen our understanding of the indigenous cultures who lived in this region and their dependence/independence on the ecosystem that was present during their occupation of the area.
