MU Extension is offering training for professional tax preparers. Persons can choose between in-person and online schools. Those registering can decide to attend a single day (Day 1 or Day 2) or both. The training will use the National Income Tax Workbook 2024. The tax school will be taught by a team of instructors.

The planned topics for Day 1 include: New legislation, Business tax issues, Individual issues (part 1 & 2), Business tax issues, Related party issues, Real estate rental activity issues and Limited liability company issues.

The planned topics for Day 2 include: Business entity tax issues, IRS issues, Agriculture & natural resources, Trusts and estates, International tax issues, New and expiring legislation, Ethics, and information from Missouri Department of Revenue (handout and Q&A)

Pre-registration is required by Oct. 15.

After Oct. 16th “In-person registration has closed but you may call 573-581-3231 to see if there are still spaces available.”

Then after Nov. 27th “Online registration has closed but you may call 573-581-3231 to see if there are still spaces available.

For persons participating in the online school, the Zoom links will be sent via e-mail at least two days prior to the training.

If you are wanting IRS credit for this class, you must enter your PTIN number when registering.
