Learn how forest management practices can benefit desired wildlife on your land. Deer, turkey, and many songbirds thrive in healthy woods. Discover tips on how to keep your woods diverse and healthy to meet wildlife goals you may have. Sustainable harvesting practices for wildlife and income generation will also be discussed. The event is free with lunch provided. Attendees who own more than 30 acres of woods may be eligible for a site visit from a consulting forester. A forester visit is usually the first step to getting detailed on site recommendations for your land. The visit is free and you are under no obligation to implement recommended practices.

Participants must register on-line for the event. The field day will begin at the Bill and Margie Haag property, 8801 Little Tavern Creek Rd. Portland, MO 65067
