Join MU Extension and Missouri Farmers Union for a tour of Hickory Ridge Orchards of Mexico, MO. Hickory Ridge Orchards grows apples, makes cider and other value-added products, and is a growing agritourism destination.  This tour will highlight ways in which produce safety best practices are integrated into crop production, a u-pick operation, worker training, and farm management plans. Implementing produce safety best practices can seem overwhelming, seeing how existing farms make it all work will help set you up for success. The farm tour will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
