In this course, participants will learn about the legal requirements and the timing and order of events for approving budgets for ambulance and fire protection districts and setting the property tax levy rates for such districts. Participants will also learn about choices for the fiscal year of such district, budget officer duties, the budget process, budgets required for different funds, required contents of a budget, the required public hearing for the property tax levy rates of such districts, and completion of required property tax levy rate paperwork for county clerks.
