In this course, participants will learn about the post-election process for ambulance and fire protection districts, including the declaring the results of elections and reorganization of the Boards of Directors of such districts. Participants will also learn the timing and order of events after the election, review the requirements for newly elected (and appointed) members of the board of directors of such districts, and of any personal finance disclosure requirements by Missouri Ethics Laws for such newly elected (and appointed) members of the board of directors. Participants will also review the agendas for both the outgoing and incoming boards of directors of such districts after there’s been an election or “non-election” for the boards of directors of such districts.
