Butler County is participating in Missouri EATs, a community development process designed to engage residents and stakeholders in identifying local assets and needs, developing plans to act on top priorities, and creating lasting change within the local food system.

As part of this process, community members are invited to attend a three-part Lunch & Learn series focused on understanding the current food system, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing practical strategies for action. Participants will explore local food system strengths, discuss challenges related to food access and community resources, examine emerging opportunities, and help identify priorities and solutions that can strengthen Butler County's food system for the future. Discussions will be informed by local data, community perspectives, and collaborative planning activities.

Meeting 1: What's Working Well in the Butler County Food System?
September 24 | 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Meeting 2: What Are the Challenges and Opportunities in Our Food System?
October 22 | 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Meeting 3: What Can We Do Together?
November 5 | 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Lunch and networking will be available beginning at 11:00 a.m. at each session. Program activities will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Whether you are involved in agriculture, food distribution, community services, education, local government, healthcare, or simply care about improving food access and opportunities in Butler County, your input is welcome and encouraged.

We encourage participation in all three sessions to help shape Butler County's Missouri EATs action plan. Please RSVP for the dates you are able to attend.
