Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) is a cohort for teens in high school that focuses on learning leadership skills, public speaking, and community engagement. The program has tier one scholars (first years) and tier two scholars (second year).

Tier one focuses on leadership vision with an emphasis on self-discovery, along with identifying community issues, tier two focuses on forming a community action plan based off of their chosen community issues, implementing that plan, along with continuing in their leadership vision.

2025 Youth Empowerment Program

Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) is a 9-session fellowship for teens in 9th-12th grades to:

  • gain awareness, training, and engagement as community leaders;
  • recognize the needs and issues in communities; and
  • learn how to address those needs through policy.

The skills learned will support and improve the youth's well-being and resiliency. Our vision is for the youth to be engaged, realize true potential, and assume leadership roles in their communities.
