Who can resist those big brown eyes or that tail wagging to see you? If one of your best friends is a dog, then you will enjoy this project. Take your dog and together learn about dog obedience, grooming and nutritional aspects that will help your dog live a long and happy life. As you advance, teach your dog to retrieve, jump hurdles, drop on recall, broad jump and participate in showmanship contests. What a fun way to spend time with your dog!

State Fair

4-H exhibits and competitions are part of the fun of the Missouri State Fair. You won't want to miss this special event; visit the 4-H building to see the projects of our 4-H youth or catch the judging competitions. Whatever your niche, there is something for everyone. Bring the family! The Missouri State Fair is located at the intersection of Highways 50 and 65, and less than 20 miles south of I-70, Sedalia is roughly an hour from Kansas City, Columbia and Jefferson City.

State Fair Dog Bowl

The 4-H Dog Bowl is a competition which tests your knowledge of dogs. The competition is conducted in a format similar to Collegiate Bowl or Family Feud, questions will be given to a team or to an individual who must buzz in and give the correct answer. We will count the right answers-no deductions are taken for wrong answers.
