2026 Contest
Date: Sunday, March 1, 2026
Location: University of Missouri – Columbia, MO
The primary objective of Horse Bowl contests is to provide an opportunity for youth enrolled in 4-H horse projects to demonstrate their knowledge of equine-related subject matter in a competitive setting where attitudes of friendliness and fairness prevail. It is also hoped that these contests will provide an educational experience for both participants and spectators. This event is hosted in even years.
Registration
This contest is run in coordination with the Missouri 4-H Mane Event and open to all 4-Her’s. Registration will be $25 per contest or $40 for both per youth. No fee for coaches. Youth and coaches should register in 4-H Online between January 5 and February 16, 2026. Registration will not be accepted after February 16, 2026.
Rules and resources
All contestants and coaches are expected to be thoroughly familiar with all rules and regulations prior to the contest.
