Lawrence County Youth Fair Grounds
Missouri 4-H Dairy Camp is an exciting event sponsored by University of Missouri Extension. Extension staff, along with professional fitters and volunteers, will provide educational seminars. Participants will be guided through the basics and finer points of fitting dairy cattle. Youth will work in small groups receiving individual assistance. Cattle and equipment will be provided, but if you have your own grooming equipment such as clippers or dryers, you are encouraged to bring it. There are prizes for judging and showmanship.
Registration fee for 4-H members is $90 if postmarked by April 15. After that registration is $100. Enrollment is limited to the first 40 complete registrations. Late registration is now $120.
Rooms in the same area as the campers will be available for parents at a cost of $80.00 per night; you must pre-register by April 15. Continental breakfast is provided by the motel. For adults wishing to eat at the farm donations will be accepted. Three to four campers will be placed in each room based upon age and gender. If you would prefer to have your camper in a semi-private room (two campers) please add $85 to the registration fee. Adults needing a hotel room may contact Quality Inn directly and ask for Missouri Dairy Cow Camp room rate.
Each participant will receive:
