At the Dickerson Park Zoo, Springfield, MO.
Missouri 4-H has partnered with Dickerson Park Zoo to offer Missouri Youth a day camp opportunity to discover, learn, and experience one-of-a-kind adventures with animals from around the world. Youth can participate in one of two age-based program tracks: 1) Missouri 4-H Zoo Apprentice Day Camp for youth ages 14+ or 2) the Missouri 4-H Junior Zoo Apprentice Day Camp for youth ages 11-13.
Both Zoo Apprentice Day Camp and Junior Zoo Apprentice Day Camp participants will be submerged in unique animal experiences during your day, including:
- Up close animal encounters
- Veterinary practices and care facilities
- Creating and providing appropriate animal enrichment
- Behind the scenes access
Camp Details
- Lunch will be provided.
- Camps will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cost $175 (covers admission into the park, petting zoo, lunch, hat, and a craft project, etc.)
- 12 spots per camp; register in 4-H Online
Camp Dates
June 14
- Any 4-Her ages 8 – 13
- Registration ends June 1 (or when full)
July 25
- Any 4-Her ages 14 and older
- Registration ends July 15 (or when full)
