In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association of Missouri, MU Extension Health and Human Science specialists can teach 10 of the Alzheimer's Association programs. These programs aim to help people understand Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias as well as how to live with the disease.

10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's
Designed for those who want to learn more about the warning signs of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and those who have noticed memory or thinking changes in themselves or others.

Building Foundations of Caregiving
This program is for people who want to learn information and skills to care for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.

Communicating Effectively
This program is for people who want to learn information and skills to care for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.

Dementia Conversations: Driving, Doctor Visits, Legal & Financial Planning
This program is designed to help you talk with your entire family, including the person with signs of dementia, about some challenging and often uncomfortable topics related to Alzheimer's and dementia.

Exploring Care and Support Services
This program is for people who want to learn information and skills to care for someone living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.

Healthy Living for Healthy Brain
This program is intended to provide you with science-based recommendations about taking care of our brains and bodies.

Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors
This program is for caregivers who want to learn how to communicate well with a person living with dementia, and how to respond to dementia-related behaviors.

Supporting Independence
This program is for people who want to learn information and skills to care for someone living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.

The Empowered Caregiver (Series)
This program series contains the content of the five following programs in order and specifically presented to caregivers: Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors; Communicating Effectively; Building Foundations of Caregiving; Exploring Care and Support Services; Supporting Independence.

Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease
This program is designed for those interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias.
